Bishop's Ring
Featuring a single square faceted amethyst, set on the angle.
Superstition tells that amethyst can protect against drunkenness.
In the middle ages amethyst was also believed to encourage celibacy.
As a result of this bishops would often wear rings with amethyst.
This design is a result of these folklores.
Result of first-hand field tests:
Amethyst fails miserably to protect from drunkenness,
And it doesn't seem to help with being celibate either.
It does look nice though. ;-)
