This substantial item of neckwear is made of twenty-one highly polished hand pierced fretwork sterling-silver plates hinged together into one fluid piece.

The plates are cut with an ocean wave design which flows from the back of the necklace, rising as it approaches the front where a striking
10 x 14mm London blue topaz is held on the crest of the waves.
